FAQ
- What is the FDI Moot?
- A moot is a competition for law students, designed to simulate the experience of case preparation and advocacy before real-life tribunals. The FDI Moot is a global moot competition held annually, focused on the dynamic and challenging area of international investment law – law which defines the respective rights and obligations of host States and foreign investors. Mooters will get an opportunity to analyze the Moot problem and advocate on behalf of both the claimant (foreign investor) and respondent (host State).
- Why should I participate?
- The FDI Moot is a great opportunity to develop your analytical and advocacy skills, as well as your understanding of international investment law and the procedural dynamics of investor-state arbitration. In addition to the rewarding intellectual experience, it is also a great forum to meet similarly-minded young lawyers/ law students, network with investment and arbitration law experts from around the world, and get noticed for a future career in the field.
